National Institute of Technology Admission: The National Institute of Technology, Silchar (NIT Silchar) is one of 31 top engineering colleges in India. It was started in 1967 as an engineering college in Assam. In 2002, it became a National Institute of Technology and was later declared a national-level institute in 2007 under a special law.
